Breaking News! I declare hereby that line 8 in Changchun  is now in service  today ! I'm so much obliged to have the honour to mark the line on the list.

Breaking News! Line 8 in Changchun is officially announced to open on the  30th October ! This line, previously also known as the Beihu line, is mainly elevated (if not completely) and serves the northern suburbans of this city. Good job for this city this year! Thumbs up!

Breaking News! I declare hereby that line 1 in Ürümqi  is in service! Because there wasn't a official account for the metro system it took me some time to confirm, but it did open yesterday. And so the first metro line in the Northwest region of China! I'm so much obliged to have the honour to mark the line on the list. For photos see below: (PS: You may have notice the Arabic-like characters on the signs. It is actually the Uyghurs language, spoken by the Uyghur people who are recognized as a ethnic minority in Xinjiang province, and the local official language.)

It is spread on the sozial networks that Ürümqi metro line 1 is as of now (Oct 25th) in revenue service. But since there isn't an official announce I decide to make a confirmation tomorrow. So wait for my news! PS: It is true that this line has been in trial operation recently. And there're photos of passengers etc. So this might be credible.

Breaking News! I declare hereby that line 5 in Tianjin  is now in service  today ! No more news about line 1 east section. Most probably next year because it makes us feel that there's a new line opening every year. I'm so much obliged to have the honour to mark the line on the list.

Breaking News! Line 5 in Tianjin is officially announced to open tomorrow on the  22nd October ! This abrupt opening announcement is just as annoying as its ever-lasting procrastination. I don't even think the evening news can get this reported since the announcement's made after 7 pm local time. And still no ETA of line 1 east section.

In the 33rd  issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report,  we proudly present you with the following news: Shanghai : Songjiang tram is currently under test runs. The ongoing test runs will run till 15. Nov, so it indicates a possible opening this year. Chongqing : An explorer posted another video of line 4 phase I. I hope it can bring us some hope for this year.                                   Wuhan : Two days before the opening yesterday, the officials reported that the tracks of the Caidian line are now completed!! Exciting!! So let's hope for two lines opening next year, line 2 south section and this Caidian line... Wenzhou : Do you still remember this city? Actually its first urban rail line S1 is now under test runs! See the photos here! Route map. Breaking News! I declare hereby that line 7 and line 11 east section phase I in Wuhan  has been in service  since yesterday ! Zhifang line will catch up a little bit later by the end of this year. I'm so much obliged to have the honour to mark the line on the list. Line 2 south section might not join us this year... Let's wait for next year.
