Weekly report 41
In the 41st issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report, we proudly present you with the following news:
- Chengdu: Ground breaks as the TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) of line 9 slides its way out of the last section of the tunnel. This will be a fully underground driverless metro line, nonetheless reserved for the next year, with the ones for this year being undoubtedly line 5 and line 10 phase II as instructed.
- Shenyang: A finished metro line with its depot missing —— let line 10 in Shenyang prove to you that's well possible! Despite the tunnel completion well last year, line 10 was forced to be proceeded by line 9 completed at the same time due to the delayed depot. This time, it's all completed and setting off for the opening in May.
- Jinan: Amongst the general ignorance, R3 in Jinan achieved its integrity —— a fairly progressive move for a starter with only one short commuter rail line situated in the suburbs until four months ago. Reports from the grapevines also state a possible opening in 2 months.
That's as much as we know about the near future, and of course, what won't come forward in the next issue! So remember to keep an eye for the next week, and you know where to find me!
