Weekly report 45
In the 45th issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report, we proudly present you with the following news:
- Nanning: I observed an intriguing tendency demonstrated in many secondary cities: Instead of building a full circle line, the popular alternative is to build two lines intersecting at both ends. The same thing goes for line 2 as well, which will be connected to line 3 after its east extension, with tunnels already finished last month.
- Ningbo: Unexpected developments in Ningbo: Ningbo is going to have a suburban railway line named Ningfeng line (Ningbo - Fenghua) (Wikipedia)! Originally planned as S3, this line is in fact an extension of line 3, as all trains on line 3 will continue to travel onto Ningfeng line. (Since when have you started to follow the Japanese way of operating?)
Ningbo Metro, ver. 2020. Seen clearly on the map, Ningfeng line is nothing more than line 3 extended, sharing even the same colour.

- Zhengzhou: Any hopes for line 3 this year? Not even close! Still no big change to the crosshair design of the network this year. Only with longer hairs: Line 2 phase II will take its current northern terminus to 10.3 km farther away, bringing 6 new stations forth, and intersect line 3 once. Test runs commenced on the 20th August.
Is this your lucky week? No reason not to be if you read my reports regularly! So, at least for the your sake, cast a glance on our next issue.
