Weekly report 46
In the 46th issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report, we proudly present you with the following news:
- Hefei: Following the completion in August, line 3 has been under test runs since the 5th, for an opening date around December. This is a very long line winding up to 37 kilometres with 33 stations, four of which elevated, the first of this kind in the entire system.
- Qingdao: A small leftover section on line 2, i.e. its west section bringing another four new stations, is under test runs until December. It is presumably the sole new metro section to open in Qingdao for the next 365 consecutive days.
- Guangzhou: The remaining section on line 21 which has just started to do test runs last month will most probably face an opening again in December, falling short of our expectations in September. Currently it is stopping at every station, but once the line is complete, it will introduce a similar operation mode to that of line 14, providing local and express services.
It is getting more and more exciting every week as time goes by. So remember to check the next issue!
