Breaking News! Line 7 and line 11 east section phase I in Wuhan are officially announced to open tomorrow on the  1st October ! As you might know, the nation holidays in China start on the 1st Oct, so this exact timing serves as a direct response to the visitors, especially line 7. News about line 7's opening can be traced back to as far as last year when its tunnels were actually near completion. The reason for such a major delay was due to the Changjiang tunnels. As shown in the picture below, the rail tunnels were built alongside the road tunnels, which certainly resulted in higher difficulties and intricacies. Now ready to open, line 7 becomes the fourth line to cross Changjiang. Road tunnels on the upper level and rail tunnels in the lower level. Line 11, while already completed last year, is delayed for this year. Probably because the city didn't considered it as a priority. Maybe because of poor ridership? Pictures of line 11. Anyway, the route map

Official opening is planned for next year. It's actually pretty impressive that a small city like this completed its constructions soo smoothly. And a new interchangeable Chinese city. Chengdu : News reported that tun nels of line 5 are  completed. Opening scheduled for next year as well. Looks like we only have line 3 phase II and III opening this year... Shenyang : This silent city suddenly throws us the sensational news that track works for both line 9 and line 10 are done! We will be witnessing 2 newly opened lines in this city the next year! Beijing : As one of the planned lines to open this year, line 6 west section is now under test runs, and will serve the rather undeveloped western suburbans of Beijing once opened. Xi'an : Its line 4 is under test runs starting

Suzhou : No news here either, but a Vlog of T2. Wuhan : As I revealed in the previous issue, line 7 is pretty much ready in this month. The official account of Wuhan Metro has posted the following photos of the interior. Xujiapeng station, an interchange station of line 5, 7 and 8 (which wouldn't be possible yet by the opening of line 7 due to the absence of line 5). Pangxiejia station, an interchange station of line 2 and 7. Wuhan railway station, interchange with line 4. Hubei University of Technology station. Beijing : Line 8 phase III and IV have opened for a trial operation. And it is further revealed that the section between National Art Museum and Zhushikou might open as well?! Will that be true? That's all for today's issue, I rea
