Breaking News! I declare hereby that T2 in Suzhou  is now in service  today ! Two new lines in China this month! I'm so much obliged to have the honour to mark the line on the list.

Breaking News! T2 in Suzhou is officially announced to open tomorrow on the  31st August ! I will do a follow-up report tomorrow just for sure , but more importantly, to mark out another line on our list!

Breaking News! I declare hereby that line 2 in Nanjing  is now in service  today ! Finally a new line in China after a month! I'm so much obliged to have the honour to mark the line on the list. And as usual we've brought some photos for you! The interchange corridor.

In the 30th  issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report,  we proudly present you with the following news: Chengdu : The official account of Chengdu Metro recently posted the following photos of Rong 2 tram. It is currently under test runs. It is further revealed that line 3 phase II and III will open in December.   Wuhan : First of all, line 7, while just having its tunnels completed 2 months before, is currently undergoing a full line test run from Garden Expo North via Yezhi Lake to Qinglongshan Ditiexiaozhen (literally Qinglongshan Metro Town), the latter section also branded as the Zhifang line, which is considered an extremely intricate project with 4,345 karst caves on the line's designed route. Despite having different names, the two lines operate as one as indicated by the route map below.  And here are some pictures of the interior decorations. Number two: Caidian line now has its tunnel

In the 29th  issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report,  we proudly present you with the following news: Whenzhou : This city with no apparent previous discussions about having a metro system has suddenly announced the opening for a suburban rail line "S1" in October. Judging from the name it is likely not a "metro" or "underground" line, but comparable to those with the same names in Nanjing, having most of the sections elevated and 4 car trains, though it does properly serve the city area.  Jinan : In a previous issue I have written about its first metro line R1, and this time it is near completion. Tracks have been laid into position and test runs undergoing. Meet Jinan's R1 in December! Guang'an : A rather modest city in the province of Sichuan, and the second city to be a Yungui project site (Read this if you have no clue what that is).
