Breaking News! Guanggu trams in Wuhan are officially announced to open tomorrow on the  1st April ! I will do a follow-up report by then just for sure , but more importantly, to cross out another line on our list. And I do hope it's not for the Fool's Day.

Breaking News! Line 8 phase III/Pujiang line in Shanghai is officially announced to open on the  31st March ! I will do a follow-up report by then just for sure , but more importantly, to cross out another line on our list! Technical infos: The trains on the new line will be INNOVIA APM 300 by Bombardier, 4 cars, third rail, rubber-tyred. Further infos: A tram system named Songjiang Tram has been under construction for many years. Though no essential news have been released it should be considered soon to come. So may it have good luck!

In the  19th issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report, we proudly present you with the following news: Shanghai : News finally came in from the site of the first APM line named Pujiang line after its completion last year. Line 8 and the Pujiang line in the same frame. Suzhou : We have heard hardly anything from this city for a long time, but this time it's on the move. Although not a metro line, the tram lines are spreading in the west suburban areas, and this time, it's line 1's west extension. In the  18th issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report, we proudly present you with the following news and the updated list (Only new updates are shown): Shanghai : Tunnel completed for line 5 south extension and press conference held for line 8 phase III (Pujiang line). Tianjin : No concrete information, only that endeavours are taken to make sure line 6 phase II opens in the first half year and line 5 opens before Q2. By the way, no further information about line 1 east section (guess that's how hard they can work). Wuhan : No information about the trams, although the press conference was held. First line to be marked as "opened" on the list. Forecasts! For this month: Shanghai's line 8 phase III might open at any time. Guanggu trams should have some news coming. For April: Shengyang's line 2 north extension and Guangzhou's line 3 Airport North station are going to open for sure. Some hope for Qingdao's line 11?

Breaking News! Line 1 phase III in Chengdu is officially announced to open tomorrow on the  18th March ! In case you still don't know what the phase III is, it is a north extension plus south extension and a branch line . You should definitely check our latest issue on this here ! In the  16th issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report, we proudly present you with the following news: Qingdao : With an expected opening next month, local press has released some photos inside Line 11. Please take a look here: The train. You can tell from this photo that line 11 is designed for low-capacity commuting, with seats lined in rows. Interchange with line 2 at Miaolinglu.
