Weekly report 36

In the 36th issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report,  we proudly present you with the following news:
    • WuhanWhile not surprisingly, line 2 south extension and Zhifang line are now under test runs. In view of the current progress they are most likely to open next year around January, together with Caidian line (line 4 extension) to maintain three new lines opening next year.
    And some photos for dessert!
In the Tanxinpei Park station. This park is a memorial park of the Peking opera master Tan Xinpei. The wall paintings are a homage to him and his famous works.

Zhifang Avenue station. "Zhifang" literally means “paper mill”, hence the process of paper manufacture on the wall.

Qinglongshan Ditie Xiaozhen (translated as Qinglongshan Metro Town). As the name indicates, this station serves a residential area with ecological lifestyle as the main theme.
    • Beijing: The sensational news: Yizhuang railway station might finally open this year?!! Photos showing functioning lights and repainted walls make this assumption realistic. This station, then completed since 2010 and meant to serve the nearby intercity rail line, never opened due to the delay of that rail line. It seems that the negotiation has gone well, with Beijing Metro compromised and agreed to open the station first.
    • Suzhou: It is reported that line 3 has had its tracks completed. No a big deal, yes, but nevertheless a delightful and gratifiying news.
That's all for this week, I really hope that you've enjoyed it, and join me in the next issue!
