Weekly report 40

In the 40th issue of our (irregularly updated) weekly report,  we proudly present you with the following news:
  • Xiamen: The metro networks in Xiamen are now moved onto the next phase. Ever since its completion in June, line 2 has been doing its test runs. It is a west-east running line, intersecting line 1 once at Lücuo station, and will highly probably celebrate its birthday together with the year 2020.
  • Shanghai: Pudong Airport is undergoing a series of schematic changes, including two new APM lines to serve the east and west wings of the airport separately. From the map below we can learn that the two lines won't share a joint until the possible completion of Terminal T3. Another thing confirmed is that no new lines are opening this year.
Schematic map of the APM lines. "Satellite" stands for "satellite concourse".
  • Shenzhen: The city of Shenzhen is reviving. After one year's gap the expansion of the underground network is back on track as does line 10. With its tunnels now completed, line 10 will be one of the first latest new lines to open (the other being supposedly line 6) next year.

And finally, the first issue after my comeback! I truely love to see you in my once desserted blog again. Off to a better future for all of us!
