Qingdao M2w

Breaking News!

I declare hereby that line 2 west extension in Qingdao is now in service on the 16th December!

The western terminus of the line is now indicated as Taishan Road.

A total of four new stations are planned, though Haixin Bridge station misses the opening.

Ticket gates at Lijin Road station with impressionistic brick columns, conveying reminiscences of the once German colony and its breweries of the national brand "Tsingtao".

Inside Taishan Road station. The exhibits here are window frames from selected commemorated historical buildings.

This window is gives credit to the old Deutsch-Asiatische Bank designed by Heinrich Hildebrand, though outside the window is a catholic church (St. Michael). No idea why there's no connection between the owner of the window and the view outside...

Inside Taidong station. Situated in the downtown core, the pedestrian streets and department stores are filled with shoppers, on a plain day as depicted on the wall.

I'm so much obliged to have the honour to mark the line on the list.
